Lamps

Lighting is very important for your space. A brighter room will boost your mood, especially during the winter when it gets dark early in the day. The good news is that lighting is not super expensive. You can get a simple floor lamp or even a small table lamp, and they can brighten up your living area. Because lamps are available in so many varieties, shapes, and sizes, you are bound to find one you like that will also be within your budget. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly piece of décor that will also brighten up your space, buy yourself a lamp!

Trays

If you want a budget-friendly piece of décor that’s also very functional, you should get a tray! Trays are great because they can be an aesthetically pleasing, decorative way to keep your items together, especially since they are available in so many sizes. For example, you can put a tray on your coffee table in your living room to keep your TV remote. You could have a tray in your bathroom to keep your makeup or hair products together, or even in the kitchen to keep your fruits together. Trays are practical and functional, but also beautiful, budget-friendly piece of décor.

Mirrors

Mirrors are great pieces of décor, especially in small spaces, since they “open up” small spaces and make them look larger. Not only do they enlarge small spaces, but mirrors can also make a space your own since there are so many types available. You can choose a long mirror to check out your outfits from head to toe, or you can opt for a small, more rounded mirror to hang by your entryway. You could even get a mirror with a more unique shape, like a star! Whichever mirror you choose, it will help you solidify your personal style in your space. For that reason, if you are looking for a piece of budget-friendly décor, you should buy a mirror.

Throw pillows

Changing up the set of throw pillows on your couch can completely freshen up your living space and give it a completely new vibe. Thankfully, they are also not very expensive. So if you want to refresh your living space, but also to save money on décor, you should get a new throw pillow or two! The great thing about throw pillows is that, just like mirrors, you can have many different types of them. You can have pillows of various sizes, prints, colors, and textures (fuzzy throw pillows are so much fun!). The comfier, the better! Throw pillows are a fun way to show off your unique sense of style. If you are looking for a piece of budget-friendly décor, you should consider buying a throw pillow or two!

Plants (fake or real!)

Plants are a great way to bring new life into your living space (this is especially true if you live in a cold place, where there is not much green during the winter!). They can also be really cheap. For these reasons, if you are in search of budget-friendly décor, I would recommend you consider buying a few plants! If you know you will not be able to care for real plants, you should consider buying fake plants instead. Even though they are fake, they have the same effect of bringing color and life into a space, but you will not need to worry about watering them. Plants, whether they are fake or real, are a great option if you are looking for budget-friendly décor.

DIY projects

If you are the creative type and are looking for budget-friendly décor, why not create a piece of your own? One of the best budget-friendly pieces is one you create yourself! As a bonus, a piece of décor you made yourself will be one of a kind. You can make different kinds of art into décor. For example, you can draw a quick sketch and frame it. You could also paint on a canvas. You could easily find the art supplies you need for these projects at a local department store. If you have some time on your hands and you want to save money on décor, I would definitely encourage you to create your own décor! It will be a fun way to save money and to exercise your creative muscles.

Yes, it’s possible to decorate your apartment with cute pieces while still maintaining your budget. Happy decorating!
